TfGM Thinking

« on: October 04, 2019, 09:55:49 AM »
Hi
last night I heard a lecture of the thinking for a Transport plan for Greater Manchester and afterwards had a talk with a TfGM planner.  He gave me the impression that TfGM dont even consider motorcycles in their planning.

I intend to contact the speaker putting the case for motorcycling.  Is there anything you would like me to say beyond the use of bus lanes which I already addressed?

Parking - SECURE parking.

I was at UCLAN giving a talk on Tuesday & went in on Hagar - on the whole of the campus there are 6 secure bike parking spots and none at all in Preston town / public use.
Its reflected all over - though Manc is better I have to say at secure parking for bikes.

Hi
I showed them TRL/TfL reports that say how much the use of bus lanes by motorcyclists smooth traffic flow and reduce pollution.

Lets see if it brings any response
