New Year, New Bike!

« on: January 09, 2019, 04:31:11 PM »
So as you all know I finally moved house at the end of November. And the deal was that once we moved and I had a proper garage, that I could start looking for a new (to me) bike.

Anyway after posting on a Facebook CBR600 owners page, about possibly selling my old CBR. I received a message from someone interested in it. Turns out he was fairly local, so yesterday afternoon he came to view it. He made an offer and now it's sold and gone!

So I'm now looking for my next bike. I called in at a small local dealer this afternoon, to have a look at a couple of bikes I was interested in. Anyway after a bit of a chat etc, I'm going back on Friday to test ride 3 different bikes ☺

So watch this space, I could soon be riding a newer, bigger bike. Looking forward to the Route 59 & Wray nights already...

Well yet again the weather wasn't great today!

But I text rode an 06 plate Triumph Daytona 955, and a 53 plate Suzuki SV1000 😊

And I've paid a deposit on the Daytona!

I'll be picking her up at the beginning of February (as long as the weather isn't snow/ice)

Bring on the summer ☺☺☺

Lovely looking bikes - is it yellow?

Personally I have the rampaging horn for a Trumpet T120. Cant afford one, but should my numbers come up or the MIL shuffle off her mortal coil then I'll hit biketrader with a vengeance.

It's actually more of a gold than the usual bright yellow!

A handsome bike indeed!

I hear yellow is the 'in' colour in France right now, so you might think about making a quick profit by selling it to a Frenchy :)

I believe it's yellow vests and high viz pants they're mostly after, so maybe you could make a few quid.

It's taken me long enough to finally get myself a newer bike, I'm not gonna be in any rush to sell it...

I've always liked the look of those...It's the waiting that gets you though, isn't it?  It's been a dryish week, shame you didn't have it.

Yeah it would have been ready sooner, but I opted to wait until the 1st Feb rather than tax it mid month. In the meantime they're giving it a full PDI and fitting some heated grips for me too!

The more annoying thing is that I'm off work for 2 weeks now. But I'm also on with a couple of DIY jobs in the new house, which means the garage is being used as a bit of a workshop.
