Is your bike insured?

« on: September 02, 2013, 07:21:39 PM »
Just been watching the One show, and there was a feature regarding uninsured vehicles. Afterwards they said there was a link on the shows web page where you can check that your bike (or any other vehicle) is actually on the National Insurance Database.

http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/

A couple of years ago my father in law got pulled for having no insurance, he was actually insured but for some reason his details hadn't been put on the database. Caused him a load of hassle as you can imagine.

May be worth checking shortly after renewing your insurance just to be sure.
Previous bikes: Honda melody 50, CB450 dx, CBR400, CB600 Hornet, CBR600FM.

Cheers for the link.
Checked this a little while ago after getting insured with one of the 'unheard of' insurers from the net.
It's never too convincing when you digitally hand over hundreds of pounds, and all you ever see for it nowadays is an email!

Anyways, my vehicle was on there then, and it's on there now.
Happy days  ;D
