Glasson Dock

« on: October 17, 2016, 09:51:13 AM »
The shop across the bridge from the caravan butty bar is open all year on a Wednesday evening until 9pm.  Nice friendly people, good butties and cakes and a place to sit underneath canopy if it's raining.

Thanks for the info, :D the last time I was there  couple of months ago it looked like it was going a bit "Up Market" as a Bistro ::) Staff friendly enough been in there a few times, rather like the Butty Caravan across the bridge opening times can be a little erratic with early closings in Winter etc.

Just make sure you go to the shop not the cafe on the corner - they really expensive and I've heard not too friendly

Yes, I've witnessed the corner café owner being a bit stroppy with someone needlessly. A bit of diplomacy should've been used. Although he was technically correct, he did himself no favours in my eyes.

I think I may be talking about the Cafe on the corner rather than the shop( Didn't it used to be called Lantern over the Lune or sommat like that?) Wasn't aware the shop was different.

Ive been in the cafe a few times  when not on two wheels and they have been OK
I will try the shop.
