New TT Game

« on: March 12, 2018, 12:06:06 PM »
I gather this game has just been launched, the Graphics look pretty realistic.
Unfortunately I havn't got the hardware to play it, I might be tempted to upgrade though just for the game.  Anyone else got it?

Heres a taster, looks good.

Oh to be able to afford the PC plus a proper VR headset.

I've grown tired of staring at a flat screen.

I s'pose the games are okay, but a bit boring - - - there's no snow, no potholes, cagers, and no traffic lights.

Some of my riding videos look like that - -  okay, well they do if I speed them up a bit ;)

What struck me was that they seem to play mostly from a viewpoint of sitting on a bus behind the rider and machine! It's gotta be first person point of view through the fairing screen to be anything like realistic.

I know, I'll fasten a joypad on my handlebars and use it when riding to practice for the game  ;D

Hell of a bus. I want a ride on that bus.

For all the incredible developments in graphics the riders movements still look crap. The reviewer said "best leaves I've ever seen", Big Deal.

But for all that it's amazing how the graphics have moved on.

I've got a couple of circuit based, motorcycle games, and yeah they are a bit repetative, even though you can choose from a lot of different bikes and tracks.

What I liked about this latest offering ie the TT one was  it was on a Road race circuit and the scenery seemed more realistic.    I'm guessing you can probably change the view to as near as dammit through the Fairing etc

That's a good suggestion possibly using it with a VR Head set,  if it allows . Might be tempted if the price of the Xbox etc drops to sommat realistic. next Winter ;)

If they made it too realistic it wouldn't sell, :o couldn't see a realistic, Air Ambulance and several months in traction mode ;)

I'm interested in picking it up at some point, when I've got some spare cash.

I do enjoy my racing games, but usually find the motorbike based ones are either ridiculously hard or too arcadey.

I suffer from nausea just watching these motion games even just a few seconds.
Travel sickness in your own home isn't cool!
I suffer, to a slightly lesser extent, watching bike video footage.
A bike is for life, not just for summer.
